1. Ograniczenie długości
Ograniczenie długości zabrania wjazdu na drogę lub obszar pojazdom i zespołom pojazdów dłuższym niż określone maksimum. Podana długość zwykle obejmuje cały zespół oraz ładunek, jeśli wymagają tego przepisy krajowe.
Ograniczenia często stosuje się tam, gdzie długie pojazdy nie mogą bezpiecznie pokonać wąskich ulic, ciasnych zakrętów, mostów, tuneli lub innych miejsc o ograniczonej przestrzeni. Kierowcy pojazdów przekraczających wskazany limit muszą wybrać inną dozwoloną trasę.

Znak C25 wskazuje maksymalną dozwoloną długość pojazdu. Pojazdy lub zespoły dłuższe niż wartość na znaku nie mogą za niego wjechać.
