37. Fußgängerampeln

Fußgängerampeln sind Lichtsignale, die regeln, wann Fußgänger mit dem Überqueren einer Straße beginnen dürfen. Normalerweise zeigt eine rote stehende Figur an, dass nicht begonnen werden darf, und eine grüne gehende Figur erlaubt das Überqueren.

Ein Blinksignal oder Countdown kann anzeigen, dass die erlaubte Querungszeit endet. Fußgänger sollten ohne unnötige Verzögerung queren; abbiegende Fahrer müssen aufmerksam bleiben und Fußgängern, die rechtmäßig begonnen haben, ermöglichen, die Straße sicher zu Ende zu überqueren.
