Traffic lights warningBelgium
1. Traffic lights warning
A traffic lights warning is a warning sign that alerts drivers that traffic signals are located ahead. It is commonly used where the signals may be unexpected, difficult to see from a distance or located on a road where drivers need additional time to prepare to stop.
Drivers approaching a traffic lights warning should reduce speed when necessary, watch for the signals ahead and be prepared to stop if the traffic light changes or traffic is waiting at the intersection.
Which Belgian sign warns of traffic lights ahead?
The Belgian A33 warning sign warns drivers that traffic lights are ahead.

Is a warning sign always placed before Belgian traffic lights?
No. Outside built-up areas, A33 must warn of three-colour traffic lights that cannot be seen from approximately 150 metres because of the layout. When the lights are visible from farther away, A33 may be used only exceptionally. The warning does not replace the duty to obey the lights themselves.
