1. Reversing

Reversing (also called backing up) is the action of driving a vehicle in reverse gear, meaning it moves backward instead of forward. In many countries, it's illegal to reverse dangerously or on major roads. Reversing is allowed only when it’s safe and necessary.

  • Check your surroundings – look all around your vehicle.
  • Use mirrors and, if needed, a rearview camera.
  • Turn your head and look through the rear window for better visibility.
