1. Throttle

The throttle is a part of a vehicle's engine system that controls the amount of air (and fuel) going into the engine — in simple terms, it controls how fast or powerful the engine runs. Normally the throttle and brake are operated by the right foot, while the clutch is operated by the left foot.

When you press the gas pedal, you're opening the throttle.
The more it's opened, the more air and fuel enter the engine.
This makes the engine rev higher and the car accelerate faster.
