4. Bus stop
A bus stop is a designated place where buses stop to allow passengers to board or leave. It may be identified by a sign, shelter, raised platform, road marking or other public-transport infrastructure and can be located beside the road or in a specially constructed stopping area.
Drivers approaching a bus stop should watch carefully for buses, pedestrians and passengers crossing or entering the roadway. Parking or stopping restrictions may apply around bus stops to keep the area accessible and visible.

May I briefly drop off a passenger at a bus stop in Ukraine?
Do not assume that a private passenger drop-off removes the protected stop restriction. Use another lawful place and respect the actual platform or sign defining the area.

What should I do near a stopped bus in Ukraine?
In a built-up area, Rule 17.4 requires approaching drivers to slow and, if necessary, stop for a bus, minibus or trolleybus starting from a marked stop situated in a lay-by. The public-transport driver must also take precautions to prevent a collision under Rule 17.5. Do not treat the rule as unconditional priority for every bus movement.
